Today, Three persons died in heavy rains that poured over various parts of Uttarakhand for the third straight day. The heavy rains also invoked landslides at several places, blocking vehicular traffic to Badrinath and Yamunotri shrines in Garhwal region and also at Tanakpur-Pithoragarh Highway in Kumaon region.

Two young girls were washed away in flash floods at Mansari Chothan village of Pauri district while they were returning home from school.

Another person was died after being buried under landslides at Bhimtal area of Naintal district. He was riding a bike when the incident took place last evening, as official said.
