How to Reach Mukteshwar

By Air/Train: The nearest airport is Pant Nagar and nearest railway station is Kathgodam which is about 65-70 Kms from Mukteshwar. You can take a taxi from Kathgodam to reach the Mukteshwar. Mukteshwar is just 51 Kms away from Nainital and 42 kms from Haldwani.

By Road: The distance from Delhi to Mukteshwar town (Delhi-Hapur-Moradabad-Rudrapur-Kathgodam-Bhimtal- Mukteshwar) is around 350 Kms, which is around 8-9 hours journey if you are traveling by your vehicle.

“During the monsoon season…many rivers of our forests will pass through the main road. When it rains, all the roads are damaged. They are not usable for the tourists’ vehicles. So, this is the reason, we close down the park during the rainy season,” said a park warden.

The Park areas open for night visits have also been closed since June, 15, and will reopen on Nov 15, whereas the areas for daytime safaris has also shut down and will reopen on Oct 15.
