It is situated at the height of 2286 meters (7500 feet) from the sea level in Kumaun hills of Uttarakhand. <p><strong>By Air/Train:</strong> The nearest airport is Pant Nagar and nearest railway station is Kathgodam which is about 65-70 Kms from <strong>Mukteshwar</strong>. You can take a taxi from Kathgodam to reach the Mukteshwar. <strong>Mukteshwar</strong> is just 51 Kms away from <strong>Nainital</strong> and 42 kms from Haldwani.</p>
<p><strong>By Road:</strong> The distance from <strong>Delhi to Mukteshwar town (Delhi-Hapur-Moradabad-Rudrapur-Kathgodam-Bhimtal- Mukteshwar)</strong> is around <strong>350 Kms</strong>, which is around 8-9 hours journey if you are traveling by your vehicle.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand has been closed down for tourists for monsoon season, as roads become unsafe and unusable for motor-vehicles.</p>
<p>&#8220;During the monsoon season&#8230;many rivers of our forests will pass through the main road. When it rains, all the roads are damaged. They are not usable for the tourists&#8217; vehicles. So, this is the reason, we close down the park during the rainy season,&#8221; said a park warden.</p>
<p>The Park areas open for night visits have also been closed since June, 15, and will reopen on Nov 15, whereas the areas for daytime safaris has also shut down and will reopen on Oct 15.</p>
