Rohtang Pass to be open till November 15

The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) on said that Rohtang Pass to be open till November 15, which connects this Himachal Pradesh town with Leh in Jammu and Kashmir. “On the demand of the state (Himachal Pradesh) government, we have decided to operate the Rohtang Nov 15,” a BRO spokesperson in Manali said. The BRO earlier announced that it would not operate the entire 475-km Manali-Leh National Highway-21 that passes through Rohtang Pass after Oct 31 due to possible snowfall.
The BRO has advised against people travelling on the highway after November 15 as it will not be in a position to operate it smoothly after that. October 22, Rohtang Pass experienced heavy snow that the BRO cleared.

Thousands of tourist enjoyed snowfall yesterday in scenic Gulaba, Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Mall Road of Manali town in Himachal Pradesh was covered in three inches of snow, delighting many tourists.
Manali town has received this kind of snowfall after long wait of 5 years. Many Tourist are playing with snow, skiing, sliding etc.
