Mild earthquake in Pirpanjal ranges, Himachal Pradesh

Pirpanjal ranges in Himachal Pradesh hit by a mild earthquake, recorded 4.2 on the Richter scale, this morning. However, there is no report of loss of life and property in the Chamba region of Himachal.
According to Director of Indian Meteorological Department based in Shimla, said a mild intensity earthquake struck Pirpanjal ranges and its surrounding areas at 9.10 am. The epicenter of tremor was at Latitude 34.1 degree north and Longitude of 73.9 degree east in the Hindu-Kush ranges.
Bollywood heartthrob Abhishek Bachchan to unveils 108 feet tall Hanuman idol in Shimla

Abhishek Bachchan, Son of Legend Amitabh Bachchan, came to Shimla to unveil a statue of Hanuman idol which is of 108 feet tall and is the world’s tallest Hanuman idol. Abhishek Bachchan, the Bollywood heartthrob is a self confessed devotee of Hanumanji and he was elated to unveil the Hanuman idol along with Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.
The idol is 108 feet tall and weighs 1,500 tonnes which is erected at an altitude of 8,500 feet in Jakhu Mandir in Shimla. It took 1.5 crore of rupees to built the idol.For the occasion of unveiling the Hanuman idol, Mr. Abhishek Bachchan was accompanied by his sister Shweta Nanda and veteran actor Parikshit Sahani.
